Although summer isn’t quite here, (June 21st, first day of summer) all college kids are already in summer mode. Classes are done for me and I finally have time to do more of the things that make me happy. For some reason I really struggled last semester trying to balance work and school, while still making time for other things that are important in my life. This was by farrrrrrrr my hardest semester. I’m just excited that it’s all over and I have a couple of months to relax without the stress of assignments, test, and deadlines.
With that being said I now have more time to focus on me. I have a list of things that I want to focus on this summer.
2018 Summer Goals:
Continue working out at least 3 times a week
For the past 7/8 weeks I have been working out with a trainer but I only have one more week of sessions left. I didn’t make as much progress as I wanted over this period of time, but my goal for the summer is to stay with it. Consistency is key.
Blog and read more
My main reason for not blogging as much as I wanted to was because of school. Since I’m out for the next couple of months what better way to spend my time than writing. Also I have found reading to be really entertaining lately. Rather it’s reading online articles, or blog post. The more I read the more it inspires me to write.
This is something that I constantly battle with. I make time for everything else but sadly to say I don’t make enough time to pray and talk to God as often as I need to. I’m always working on bettering my relationship with God, so summer 2018 I plan to pray way more.
Save, Save, Save!!
Another really big goal for me this summer is to save more money. I have been thinking a lot lately about not working during my senior year. I will need to continue to add on to my savings that way I could work less and focus more on school.
Looking in my journal at my list, I realize that I have a lot of things that I want to do. In my journal I have a list of 8, but for the sake of keeping this blog a reasonable length I will just share my main 4. This post was my way of holding myself accountable. Not only did I write them down in my journal but I’m sharing them with you all. That is even more of a reason for me to get everything done.
If you all have any summer goals drop them below in the comments, and how will you hold yourself accountable?
