Inspiration Sunday’s : Prosperity

5-Happy-Sunday-quotes

Starting today 1/28/18 I will post inspiration to help guide us through the week. My goal is to not only share my beliefs and teachings but to hopefully encourage someone to develop a closer relationship with God.

Here we go. Week 1:
In church I learned that to prosper is more than to be financially covered.
To prosper can mean
1) To favour
2) To succeed
3) To have abundance
4) Deliverance
5) To excel to your highest point

In other words to succeed in material terms (financially), to flourish physically and to make successful. So if you thought prosperity was limited to just financial gains, well you weren’t wrong as my pastor says, just incomplete.

Being prosperous isn’t about what you have but who you have.

Genesis 39:2-3 “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.”

This scripture doesn’t say that Joseph is a prosperous man because of what he has, but that he is prosperous because of who he has.

Your relationship with God is the foundation to your prosperity. So instead of trying to do on your own, trust in God and watch him work. Build your relationship with God and you have no choice but to live a prosperous life.
